Today's the day! I've been saving up this week's birdy pick to coincide with Anthropologie's grand opening today in London. And really, no other store does birds quite as well as Anthropologie.
Here are my top Anthro birdy picks from the London store (note that each Anthropologie store stocks slightly different stuff):
1. Gladiator bird, finch with key, £258.
2. Hasty hatchling necklace, £258.
3. Flight-Of-Swans dress, £258.
4. Bird hook, £20.
5. Gladiator bird, Quail, £218.
6. Tweeting tea party dishtowel, £22.
7. Birder dishtowel in blue, £16.

no other words except...yaaay!

Hurray! This has been coming for such a long time I thought it would never open. Definitely on the to-do list on my next trip!

Oh, those are all divine! That dress is so sweet, and I think I'll definitely have to add one of those tea-towels to my collection.

How lovely! Anthro does indeed do the best line in birds, I can't wait to see the new store. Roll on tomorrow! I foolishly decided not to buy a beautiful birdy dress at the stores in Soho, NY last summer, I think I might have to rectify that one this weekend....

I've never heard of this shop, is that a really bad admission?!
Must get out more, looks like it will be fab from this selection! Dish towels look too good for pots and pans.

all very lovely indeed - but very expensive? are 1, 2 and 3 all really £258?!
Posted by: nath | October 23, 2009 at 10:11 AM
Nath - sadly, yes, these items *really* are £258. A tad shocking, but thought I'd showcase them just for the 'oooh-aaah' factor. Personally, I'm sticking to the tea-towels and accessories, as well as the Nathalie Lete plates, which are all moderately priced. xx

How exciting! Love your picks too. I can't wait to go and have a peek around and see what's there. Although of course it could be dangerous...

Came out of that store the poorer - bought the beautiful little lady/crinoline butter dish (if indeed it is a butter dish - who knows!) and a gorgeous Lete plate. Do a search on my blog for Skeem or go a few pages back for bird love! x

BBB- oh, you did very well. I think the butter dish might be Lete as well. Maybe not. Will look for Skeem now! xx

I'm just back from holiday and my first action was to go straight to Anthropologie/ heaven!

Anthropologie always has amazing things - definitely one of my favorite retailers. And, they do do birds like no other. I have a bird doorstop I wish they'd re-introduce.
