Oh, how I wish I was in London right now. I've got loads of things to tell you since arriving back in Sydney (I'm just starting to thaw out after Britain's coldest winter in 30 years), but right now I've got my eye on - where else? - lovely, lovely Liberty. Right on the back of the rather clever Liberty for Target collection comes the sublime limited edition Merci Liberty collection for spring.
Designed by Parisian concept store Merci's creative director, Marie France Cohen, the super-pretty collection features a bouquet of Liberty's most iconic floral prints. With an emphasis on what Merci does best (homewares and children's ware), stand-out pieces include the old-school mini suitcase covered in Liberty print, long print aprons, as well as reasonably priced cushions from £20.
Stationery nerds will rejoice in the sublime range of printed tapes, notebooks and assorted papery delights (I really love the old-school brown envelopes with a posy of Liberty florals peeking out from the lining).
Tell me - have you picked up anything from the Liberty for Target collection? Have you had a peek at the new Merci collection? Go on, give me my London fix.

I had seen these items on the Liberty site recently, and would absolutely love the suitcase and stationery items!
As for Target, they opened a pop-up shop here for a sneak preview and I scored an umbrella, a bag and scarves. Too bad when I went to the actual Target store, they had already sold out of most of the collection.

Woo! You're back with new posts! Of really pretty things.
I looked on Ebay last week for the Target stuff since that's the only way we can get some here but there's not too much to be had. xx

I love this - Liberty is my favourite store in all of London, and I adore the collaborations they've been doing lately! Am about to go to Morocco, but as soon as i'm back i'm going straight to Liberyt to check out both collaborations.
Can't wait for your Paris posts!

Good to see your post! Not feeling well enough to go out this week so I ordered a Liberty bedding set & a wallet online. Very excited for them to get here. Esp. the bedding - blues/greens paisley print with shams. Haven't had new bed linen in 12+ years (yes). It will be very springy/summery.
Cheers & looking forward to the Merci post.

Oh yes. I popped in to buy a Mother's Day gift and, as ever, ended up buying for me. I bought the tape, which I've already used lots, and one of the lovely rose print necklaces which I'm looking forward to wearing when the sun finally comes out. Looking forward to your Merci post.

I went a little crazy when they unveiled the Merci Liberty collection. I just couldn't help myself. My hands just kept grabbing, and before I knew it I was at the till with 4, yes that’s right 4 suitcases, a mug and a couple of necklaces. Not one is for me, I kid you not. (actually maybe just one necklace wont make it to it's original owner. Hard work deserves a little reward.) Blinkin marvellous it all was too.

Oh my pie, I was there like a rat up a drainpipe!
I spent far too much money! I bought the tape, lots of necklaces (the idea was to give them as birthday presies to girlfriends but I find I cant poart with them!) I have the suitcase on order....stop the madness!!!!!
looking forward to seeing your pics,

That suitcase would look great on top of my closet.
I managed to get a bag, purse and scarf from Target. My sister lives over there and was kind enough go get up early to go to Target for me :-)

I loved, loved, LOVED this collaboration! I meant to blog about the suitcase as I got one, but it sold out by day two.
The Stickman bought me a friendship bracelet in the same fabric as my blog header so that was sweet!
Have been meaning to email you about my latest birdy find, too... www.bargainistafashionista.com/2010/04/love-birds.html
Hope all is well Down Under.
